This Privacy Policy explains how Deployment Wizard (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit deploymentwizard.com, use our deployment wizard, purchase software hosting plans, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, discontinue use.
1. Scope
This Policy covers personal information we process as a controller for our marketing website, sales, billing relationship, and platform administration. It does not cover processing you perform as a customer inside Applications you host (where you are typically the controller and we act as a processor under a separate data processing arrangement, if applicable).
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Contact and identity data: name, email address, phone number, company name, and message content from contact or support forms.
- Order and deployment data: selected plan, domain name, billing email, and related provision metadata you enter in the deployment wizard.
- Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe may provide us with payment status, last four digits, billing country, tax-related fields, and customer identifiers.
- Communications: emails, tickets, and correspondence with us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, timestamps, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Usage data: interactions with pages, forms, and the deployment wizard (for reliability and product improvement).
- Cookies and similar technologies: essential cookies for site function and preference storage (for example theme preference in local storage). We may use analytics cookies if enabled; you can control non-essential cookies via browser settings where applicable.
2.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information from payment processors (Stripe), domain or infrastructure partners, security vendors, and publicly available sources to prevent fraud, complete transactions, or maintain records.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services;
- Process orders, subscriptions, invoices, and refunds;
- Provision application environments and communicate deployment status;
- Respond to inquiries and provide support;
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms;
- Send service-related notices (billing, security, policy updates);
- With consent or as permitted by law, send product updates or marketing (you may opt out of marketing emails);
- Analyze aggregated usage to improve reliability and UX.
Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR or similar regimes apply) include contract performance, legitimate interests (securing and improving the Services, preventing abuse), consent (where required), and legal obligation.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, analytics if enabled, customer support tools, security monitoring), bound by contractual confidentiality and purpose limits;
- Payment processors such as Stripe to complete transactions;
- Automation endpoints such as your configured N8N or similar webhook destination when you submit the contact form (message content is transmitted to that endpoint);
- Professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality;
- Authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security;
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. International transfers
We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms).
6. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide Services, maintain financial records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary: contact form messages may be kept for operational follow-up; billing records are typically retained for tax and accounting periods; server logs are retained for shorter security windows unless needed for investigations.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including transport encryption (TLS), access controls, and least-privilege practices. No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for configuration of Applications you deploy.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us via the contact form or privacy@deploymentwizard.com. We may need to verify your identity. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA (including know, delete, correct, and opt-out of “sale”/“sharing” — we do not sell personal information). We will not discriminate for exercising privacy rights.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use essential storage for theme preference and deployment wizard progress. You can clear browser storage and cookies at any time. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality. If we introduce optional analytics cookies, we will update this Policy and provide consent mechanisms where required.
10. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16 (or higher age if required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete the information where appropriate.
11. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal information.
12. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. There is no consistent industry standard for response. We currently do not alter processing solely based on DNT signals.
13. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about individuals without meaningful human involvement, except fraud prevention screening that may temporarily block abusive payment or access attempts.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated by notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy where permitted by law.
15. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: Contact form or privacy@deploymentwizard.com. For data protection inquiries, mark the subject line “Privacy Request” and include enough detail for us to locate your information.
